The mission of the Ventana Foundation has always been to support the underprivileged and economically weaker sections of society. The foundation strives to lend a helping hand to deserving individuals, and its latest initiative was no exception. Despite its primary objective not including sports promotion, the foundation went out of its way to support four talented Karate athletes from rural areas to compete in the prestigious Thailand Karate Do Championship held in Phuket in August 2022.

The athletes - Chethan Kumar, Pawan Poojari, Bharath Devadiga, and Ajay Devadiga - all hailed from Bhandarkars Arts & Science College in Kundapura. While their talent and skill were recognized by the national selectors, they were struggling to find financial support to attend the international tournament. That's where Ventana Foundation stepped in.

In July 2022, the foundation came across a news article in Vijaya Karnataka about the four athletes qualifying for the Thailand Karate Do Championship. They were impressed by the athletes' dedication and determination to represent India on an international level, despite the financial obstacles in their path.

After learning about their plight, VF decided to provide each of the athletes with a cheque for INR 50,000 to help them with their travel and accommodation expenses for the tournament. The cheque handover event was held on August 6, 2022, and was graced by Mr. Shanmukharaja, a fitness enthusiast and representative of 99Games. Speaking at the event, he praised VF's mission of supporting talented students from rural areas and providing them with opportunities to shine on the world stage.

The four athletes were overwhelmed with gratitude for the support provided by Ventana Foundation. They didn't have to go through the stress of finding multiple sponsors to finance their travel and accommodation expenses, which allowed them to focus on their training. In the end, one of the athletes even brought home a bronze medal, bringing pride to their college and community.
