Art has always been a powerful means of expression and creativity, but for many aspiring artists, access to workshops and training can be a challenge. That's why Ventana Foundation has been committed to supporting local artists and art organizations in Udupi, such as the Bhavana Foundation and Bhasa Gallery.

Recently, the foundation extended financial assistance of INR 1,60,000 to support a workshop by renowned artist Janardhan Havanje and his foundation. The workshop focused on Patachitra, an ancient art form from Odisha, and was a great opportunity for local artists and art enthusiasts to learn from some of the best in the field.

Led by Smt. Gitanjali Das from Odisha, the workshop covered everything from the history of Patachitra to the unique natural colors used in the art form. Participants were taught how to create these colors using natural ingredients found in their daily lives, allowing them to incorporate sustainable practices into their artistic pursuits.

Ventana Foundation's financial support for the workshop enabled many aspiring artists and enthusiasts to participate, who may not have had the means otherwise. It was heartening to see the enthusiasm and passion for art among the attendees, who were keen to learn from the experienced artists.

Janardhan Havanje's passion and expertise in Kavi art and his Bhavana Foundation's vision of promoting and preserving art have been great inspiration to the Ventana Foundation. Through this initiative, we have not only supported the cause of art but also contributed to the growth of local artists and art enthusiasts in Udupi.

The success of the workshop has encouraged us to continue supporting such initiatives in the future. The Ventana Foundation believes that art and culture play a significant role in shaping society, and we are committed to supporting initiatives that promote the growth of the arts in the community.

The foundation's financial support for the Patachitra workshop was a step towards empowering local artists and art enthusiasts in Udupi. We hope to continue supporting the growth of the arts in the region and beyond, working closely with organizations and individuals who share our passion for art and culture.
