Ventana Foundation believes in providing education and opportunities to underprivileged children. In line with this belief, VF decided to support the mid-day meal program at Alevoor Educational Society with financial assistance of INR 45,000.

The Alevoor Educational Society has been running Nehru Kannada Medium School for the past 60 years, providing free education to needy students. However, due to an increased preference towards English Medium Schools, the strength of the school was deteriorating. To combat this, the Society started an English Medium School as a sister concern.

Students from both these schools generally come from faraway villages, and their parents find it difficult to provide lunch and snacks to their children. To help the nutritional status of these children and eradicate classroom hunger, the school started providing free meals along with milk and biscuits for snacks.

VF team member Sudhir went for a site inspection and found that the facilities were in shape and the request could be processed. The Society Secretary, Mr. Prashanth Acharya, was requested to collect the cheque from VF's office. A simple handover program was conducted where VF's Trustee, Ms. Shilpa Bhat, handed over the cheque to Mr. Acharya and conveyed VF's commitment to the improvement of education in the region.

The joy of having provided healthy and nutritious food to young students of the School is beyond description and is meant to be experienced. The aim of this initiative is to increase the enrollment of children belonging to disadvantaged sections of society and help improve their nutritional status.

VF's larger vision is to support and improve the education system for underprivileged children. By providing financial assistance to such programs, VF hopes to encourage more students to attend school and to make education accessible to all.

Through this initiative, VF hopes to make a positive impact on the lives of these young students and help them achieve their dreams. The organization believes that every child has the right to education and a better future, and they will continue to support such programs in the future.
