Ventana Foundation is dedicated to promoting rural education and recently took up the challenge of renovating the Government Higher Primary School in Malpe, Udupi. The school, which has a long history of imparting education to local students, had been struggling due to the dilapidated condition of its building and basic infrastructure facilities. Recognizing the importance of providing a safe and dedicated environment for quality education, the Ventana Foundation team, led by Rohith Bhat and Ravindra K, undertook the enormous task of renovating the building with unending vigor.

The renovation project, which began in mid-October 2022, was not without its challenges. Despite the school's vision of renovating the building, efforts from their end were not satisfactory. The support provided from the school and its vendors were limited which led to a lot of delays and re-planning from the VF team.

However, the VF team persevered, driven by their commitment to promoting rural education and fostering the growth of rural schools. With their unwavering dedication, they completed the renovation project, including the construction of toilets and a garden to facilitate the overall development of students, in early January 2023. The newly renovated School building was inaugurated by Raghupathi Bhat, MLA Udupi, on January 10, 2023. Speaking at the inaugural event, Bhat lauded the efforts and efficient task of the Ventana Foundation in renovating the ruined school building. He further wished VF success in its future endeavors. The event was attended by many distinguished guests of the region.

Despite the challenges faced during the renovation project, the Ventana Foundation team remained focused and dedicated to its mission. They worked tirelessly to ensure that the project was completed on time and to the highest standards. Their efforts have not only benefited the students of the Government Higher Primary School in Malpe but have also set an example for other rural schools in the region.
